When you leave the Airport and make a left at the round-about, you'll be on Queen Drive heading East towards Ocho Rios. You will first pass through small commercial and industrial section of the city before you enter the Rose Hall area where you'll start seeing the major hotels and golf courses. As you can see from the map, many of the major hotels and golf course are located in this area. Once you pass Rose Hall Great House on your right, you are about to leave the tourist area of Montego Bay

If you hang a right at the round-about as you leave the airport, you'll be heading into downtown Montego Bay along sunset boulevard which quickly turns into Gloucester Avenue or the Hip Strip as they call it. You'll pass the famous Doctor's Cave Beach on the right along with very new hotels such as Superclub Breezes and Sandals along with older hotels such as The Wexford and Coral Cliff. There are also many restaurants as well as entertainment centers along the Hip Strip.

Gloucester Avenue will run you into another round-about. Take a left at the round-about and you'll be on Barnett Street which will take you into the center of downtown Montego Bay commercial district. If you take a right at the round-about, it will put you on Howard Cooke Boulevard. This route, part of the road in red on the map will take you along the outskirts of Montego Bay, bypassing downtown and the city center. Further along, Howard Cooke Boulevard you will come to cross road. Take a right here and it will take to the cruise ship dock and yacht Club. The left will continue the bypass of the city and take you to Negril.

Although Montego Bay is a relatively big city, unless you are adventurous, there are just a few areas of the city where all the tourists shopping, sight seeing and entertainment are located.
